1967 Ford Mustang Fastback — Sutton Bespoke GT500CS Built for Ashley Banjo | 5.4-litre V8 | Five-speed manual Trading Lounge is delighted to offer this distinctive 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback, comprehensively restored and re-engineered by Sutton Bespoke as a GT500CS, and delivered to television presenter, choreographer and Diversity founder Ashley Banjo.

Combining Eleanor-inspired styling with an extensively upgraded drivetrain, suspension, braking system and bespoke interior, this is a thorough restomod with a publicly documented history.
Based on an original 1967 Mustang chassis, Sutton’s restoration included a rotisserie rebuild and replacement body panels. The resulting car retains the unmistakable Fastback silhouette while introducing contemporary engineering and carefully integrated modern equipment.
Finished in Ford Magnetic Metallic Grey with contrasting black stripes, the body features a sculpted bonnet, extended wheel arches, revised rear bodywork and an integrated boot spoiler. Satin-black exterior trim, black 18-inch wheels, LED lighting and side-exit exhausts complete its purposeful appearance.
At its heart is a comprehensively rebuilt Ford V8, increased from 5.0 to 5.4 litres. Sutton’s published specification details hypereutectic pistons, a performance camshaft and a UK-manufactured eight-stack fuel-injection system with GT40-derived origins. Console-selectable engine management provides three calibrations described as road, race and track.
Contemporary coverage places output at approximately 500 bhp. A five-speed Tremec manual gearbox replaces the original four-speed transmission, preserving the involvement of a manual classic while bringing a more contemporary transmission to the build. An electronically controlled active exhaust provides selectable quieter and louder settings.
The chassis upgrades extend well beyond the engine. Tubular front suspension arms, an uprated anti-roll bar and adjustable front coilovers provide changes to damping and ride height, while the rear suspension also incorporates adjustable-height coil springs. Sutton specified substantial braking upgrades, including 14-inch discs, six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers.
Inside, black Nappa leather with dark-grey stitching covers the dashboard, door panels, rear quarters and centre console. Recaro front seats feature Daytona-style upholstery, with the rear seats trimmed to complement them. Dark Alcantara finishes the headlining, sun visors and luggage compartment.
Period-inspired instruments sit within a carbon-finish dashboard, alongside a bespoke centre console incorporating the additional controls. A leather-trimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel maintains a classic touch.
Modern conveniences include Apple CarPlay, satellite navigation, DAB radio, a reversing camera, remote central locking and remote boot release. The bespoke Morel audio installation incorporates a subwoofer and amplifiers within the trimmed boot, accompanied by ambient lighting.
With its Ashley Banjo provenance, extensive Sutton Bespoke conversion and striking specification, this GT500CS offers a distinctive interpretation of the classic Mustang: recognisable 1960s design, substantial V8 performance and a cabin tailored for contemporary use.
